I reside in the "frozen tundra" (Wisconsin). About mid-year, the glaciers melt 🙂 and we can grow a few things. We do have good farmers markets but most of the year have to look for organic produce in the stores.

I did build a raised veggie garden, in between arthritis flares. I do have 2 compost bins going. Hopefully I can start "farming".

We raise many veggies in MN - the ones I mentioned all grow well in raised beds except sweet potatoes. And kale and lettuce grow like gangbusters indoors in winter under grow lights.
