@cabgreenbay Aspen Suites Hotel is about a mile from the Gonda Building. The Mary Brigh Hospital is not connected to the other Mayo clinical buildings area, but there are shuttles that run between them. My suggestion is to call the free Concierge service and tell them what you're looking for. They have good recommendations and are very helpful and can give you hotel rates. That's how I found Candlewood Suites which is good and not so expensive and it is about a mile form the Gonda building. The hotels do offer Mayo patient rates, but closer ones cost more. Some hotels also charge for parking (usually the closer ones).

@cabgreenbay I have been going to Mayo for almost 10 years. I always stay at Econolodge on S Broadway. No pool but has an exercise room, free parking and a free daily shuttle to drop you right at the Gonda building. Wonderful free breakfast, friendly staff, very clean, reasonably priced and what I like best is no carpet in the rooms.
