I so agree with Lori. You have done all the footwork you could do, and your MIL has chosen what she wants. I do hope the family accepts their moms' choices and supports her. This is never an easy time. I wish you peace and love as you walk down this road.

Everything is slowly coming together I wish these conversations were had earlier but this has all been a shock. It was all out of the blue having her treated in Aug for cellulitis and find out lymphoma. The decline has been fast. I do appreciate you reaching out thank you so much.

Thank you so much. I do all I can even though I feel sometimes it's still not enough. I want to be here for her and everybody else to help with the pain and take away as much burden as I can. When the time comes there will be a sense of loneliness that's unexplainable for me.

Hello, @msmac1, It’s been several months since we’ve connected but I’ve been thinking about you and your mother-in-law quite a bit lately. I’m hoping that she was able to get the care needed for her lymphoma. I know there was a lot of resistance for accepting her diagnosis and treatment. Has there been any changes in her health?

Thank you for reaching out. She actually passed away Dec 31st. We all had our special time with her taking care of her and we all were together and with her when she passed. Things got really hard there in the end jus trying to keep her content she wasn't sick or suffering or anything like that (thank God) but she put up a hell of fight! She was stronger than all of us! But thank you for talking to me through this everyone who did reach out.

Thank you!

I’m so sorry, @msmac1. I know you were very fond of your mother-in-law and this is a devastating loss of a dear friend as well as a family member. From our earlier conversations, you certainly did everything in your power to make sure she was comfortable and her voice was heard in her decisions. Thinking of you and your family in this difficult time.
