Having preventative surgery 3/4/2025: Have IPMN, not cancer
I am on my 70’s , female , do not have cancer and approaching preventative surgery to remove pancreas , spleen, gallbladder, small part of my stomach and small intestines on 3/4/2025. I would be very appreciative if someone could share their experience.

Hello Friends
I am approaching my surgery , the pre-op and planning for this major surgery is massively stressful.
I wish all of you well and am almost at the point of total acceptance. I appreciate all the advice and shared experiences.
Best Regards
Adele

1 Reaction@asufloss,
I am writing to wish you the best of everything these coming weeks :(smooth surgery, easy recovery and ease of transition to the insulin world and digestive enzymes) My surgery (same as yours) is on the 13th and would like to keep in touch with you as we are only 9 days apart on the next part of this journey.

2 ReactionsThank you Toni. I am preparing by trying to quiet my mind and pray.
I will pray for you and your surgeon. Healing for you and guiding the hands of your surgeon.
This is part of are story and we accept it with calm and peace.

2 ReactionsAdele. Just saw your posting. Don’t know how I’ve missed this before. I have the exact same diagnosis and exact same treatment option. I am asymptomatic, 74, and otherwise in good health. I’ve been monitoring for 15 months with MRCPs. No progression. I am still considering the surgery. How has the past 10 months been for you? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
