I’ve used AirSupra and found it helpful for the few times I’ve needed it. The Albuterol does have the side effect of making one jittery. My allergist told me a study (I think from Australia) found good results using Symbicort as a rescue inhaler which he told me to use. I suspect AirSupra was a drug company response such that the Ventolin is less effective since inflammation is an underlying cause of the shortness of breath which is not addressed. My doc said she’s had good results in those patients who are less compliant with their medication as AirSupra at least offers some anti inflammatory therapy. It is expensive since some Medicare plans do not cover it.
