I have found that Blu offers a top-notch air purifier and the good things about it is that the filters are recyclable!
Madeline, I did a brief Google scholarly search and the first articles that popped up were about communities that used wood for cooking and heating or had excessive exposures. I’m not sure those wood be similar to wood stoves in US. Here is one that was done in US that found the major impact was on asthmatics. You might have seen it already since a recommendation is for air filters.

I’ve been using a Coway Airmega from Amazon for 2-3 years and like it. I don’t leave it on all the time. I usually turn it on when grandkids are here or on very windy days if I’m in and out.
I haven’t noticed wood heat mentioned as a cause of bronchiectasis and will take a brief at the lit. Have you had pneumonia, sinusitis, or reflux?
