I too have gained a lot of weight after having severe covid in 2020..i had severe shortness' of breath episodes,pains in my back and my chest,was not hospitalised although i certainly should,my CT is my only proof i guess along with some strange though not indicating sth extremely serious blood tests),i had lost a lot of weight during that period,i wasn t feeling like eating because i couldn t breathe,had some hair loss too,lasted 3 and a half months,i survived but since then i have a wide range of symptoms!at the end of 3 and a half months i experienced severe low blood pressure,semi fainting episodes(extreme nausea)
Then i got herpis zoster,started feeling better by time but my breathing,my oxygen levels was shorter,i also started having joint pains,chest pains and after that i had also heart palpitations!for 2-3 years!i m kind of better now as for these(breathness still not returned to absolute normal cause i have some snoring when i sleep)and my weight has just increased(belly,stomach,under my chest,neck,moon face,buttocks)
My glucoze etc levels have been disturbed,doctors tell me i have insulin resistance(i never had that before)
i caught covid two more times,was exhausting but without shortness of breath!another symptom i gained was fungal infections!!(nail fragility,change in their shape),fungus in genitals(along with another bacterium),under my chest who knows where else...i have severe lack of concentration,extreme fatigue when i stand still or when i climb stairs,everyone is just looking at me cause i get red and puffing a lot!like i m much heavier in my kilos than i actually am(15 kilos weight gain)i also have pain on my right hip bone)
I weighted 46 kilos in all of my life cause i m also short,was eating a lot and never gained a grammar!i had the greatest metabolism!i only had large iron deficiency but i guess it was because of my heavy bleeding periods!but i was a very healthy person overall!
In 2018 i took NORLEVO!a bith control pill!and it had implications in me!and i guess severe implications!my period changed after that pill for good until now!(During my first covid my period stopped for a month)After that pill i felt my feet much heavier,my period got very exhausting like i have problems with my blood pressure or my blood in general and my weight had started to increase just only a little bit!i had bloating in my legs,my ancles,my feet and i increased one number in my trousers and some clothes couldn t fit like they used to or some shoes..!!after covid i increased my troused gradually 3 sizes more!so from xxs i reached large..!who?me!my shirts also can t fit me,not only haven t changed anything in my diet,but i even eat a lot less than i used to!
I also have diarreas,bowel changes,intestinal irritability if i may say,urine incontinence kind of,very fragile skin(you can see my veins)i did a triplex and i even have early atherosclerotic plaques in my legs although i m a really young person//and oily skin and hair!
My question is-and i hope some doctors or scientists may see this- : don t all these symptoms seem to you like cushing syndrome?!the fatigue in muscles,the fungal infections,the insomnia-sleep disturbulances,the redness and fat in my face and my cheeks,the high blood pressure and the disturbulences in it,the gradual weight gain,the pain in my hip bone,the loss of hair(male pattern hair loss,but some hair in the edges of my cheekbones)
I took some hormone blood tests and apart from some indications for pcos(probably caused by norlevo?!if it s possible)i also have high cortisol levels!i took a saliva test(for cushing syndrom)and it was positive!(Didn t seem any tumour in my axial upper lower abdoment without contrast though)but that s why i mentioned the birth pill norlevo i had taken in 2018!cause i read that contraceptive pills may cause changes in cortisol levels too!(And the birth pill is like taking a lot of contraceptive pills together all at once!)symptoms that covid worsened!symptoms that many people face in long covid!they look like disturbulances in cortisol don t they?!or like covid causing maybe cushing syndromes?!
