Insatiable Eye Itching

I have not found out what is causing this. See my other comment that describes my routine that is helping.

I wash my eyelids every time I wash my face and when I shower. I think this is a good practice. Every night, before bed, I give both eyes a squirt of OCuSoft HypoChlor Hypochlorous Acid Solution, followed by Systane Ultra lubricating drops. This seems to help as well and was recommended by my doctor.

And, you don’t find the acid solution applied at night drying?
I apply so much to moisturize my dry eye and my attempts seem futile. There are times things seem stable, but flares when I feel I’m having no success. (The recent super cold weather with dry heat indoors is brutal.) I may return to trying moisture goggles at night. I tried that a few years ago, but had some fitting issues…..trouble returning the very expensive item.

No, I do not experience any drying. But, as I mentioned, I follow that with lubricating eye drops. This was suggested by my eye doctor and I do find it helpful. I've never heard of moisture goggles but will check them out. Onward toward a solution that works!!

Just a thought.
Ask your Dr if you should see an endocrinologist. It might be something Caused by your thyroid.
I have the same symptoms. Minus the sneezing.
Do you have symptoms like hair loss or shaking hands ?

I did go through a short period of hair loss which was quickly corrected with a med adjustment. I've had thyroid problem for years. I now have multiple nodules. My dr keeps close watch on them via ultra sound and biopsies. So far, so good. Fingers crossed! Thanks for your input.

Omg...I have the same thing. Intense itching in the inner corner of only my left eye for years now. ( It's hard to pinpoint the exact location of itching, it could be slightly above the inner corner ? Or eyelid ?) I rub my eyes so much that I think I may have damaged the sclera. There is a tiny fold type thing in the left eye bottom right because of the rubbing.The doctor gave pataday and said the fold will go away. I am trying both Pataday and Refresh drops for weeks now but nothing helps☹️

My doctor told me to use Pataday every day for a month and then get back to her. In the past, I only used the Pataday when my eye would act up. Now I am doing what she suggested and, guess what...no itching since I've started it on a daily basis. Maybe try that, if you haven't already. Use it even when the eye is not itching and see if that helps. I got the ultra Pataday, once daily. I do it every morning upon waking.

I used Pataday many years ago. Think I will use it again for my itching eyes. I find Systane eye drops are much better at soothing my eyes than Refresh.

Yes, my doctor also recommended sustain lubricating eye drops. I like them!.
