Lyme Symptoms Return
Last summer I was diagnosed with Lyme disease. I had the rash (solid, not bullseye), developed chest pains, headache, neck stiffness, mild nausea. I went to an urgent care center, was given a full workup and prescribed a course of Doxycycline, which seemed to knock it out and I felt fine for awhile, but over the course of the next several months, my symptoms began to return.
I had bloodwork done that showed I have a current Lyme infection and just last week, my PCP put me on another course of antibiotics (Amoxicillin), which I am currently taking. The choice of Amox was based on the fact that my wife and I were about to head to the Caribbean for a vacation that would have made staying out of the sun impossible, and thus Doxycycline wasn't ideal. We are now back from the vacation and my symptoms have slightly improved, but I want to be sure to really knock this out this time and was hoping for advice.
Since my symptoms aren't severe, I imagine I could just complete the course of Amoxicillin and see how I feel, but I was hoping to get some input. Maybe a course of Doxycycline in addition to the Amoxicillin would be a good idea? I haven't been able to find a reliable specialist in my area yet. The only infectious disease doctor I spoke to (referred by my PCP) said he doesn't treat people with longterm Lyme disease. Sheesh.
Any advice would be appreciated!

See my original post (several weeks ago) about recommending Ozone Therapy....
The below is an update:
It's my understanding Ozone will eliminate most viral diseases. Generally targets most dormant viruses living in our cells. This type of therapy is not covered by insurance.
I had my annual checkup with my endo. 2 weeks ago.
My enlarged parathyroid gland has shrunk in size from 1.8 to 1.5. This is after only 4 treatments. *side note: my PCM and other MD doctors, including my Endocrinologist will NOT acknowledge any treatment that is considered Functional/preventative medicine. It's a shame how big pharma controls the whole medical industry. $$$$$$$$
Also, my girlfriend I mentioned, her recent test results show the Lyme disease is completely gone! EBV is gone for both of us.
Common Viral disease living dormant in our bodies:
EBV
autoimmune
Arthritus
shingles virus
COVID long lingering symptoms and more....
Very cool to hear happy to read this! I live in MN how much about ozone treatment…? O3..?
