As suggested by the Mayo Clinic to treat my erythromelalgia, I use a compound prepared by my pharmacy of Ketamine and Amitriptyline which applied 3 times daily does help my neuropathy.
Jusr found this today and wanted to clarify that the only eral thing that gives me a little less pain is Sombra. You can find it on Amazon and I use it morning and at night before I go to bed.

I believe you are referring to Journavx. It is a brand new medication for acute to short term pain relief from surgery or injuries. Not really appropriate for our use for chronic pain.
It may be useful in the future. Now, it is not FDA approved for chronic pain, probably not approved by MediCare, and is probably expensive.
I will not take ketamine again an anesthesiologist overdosed me scared the living daylights out of me. I did not know if I was dead or what. I couldn’t move or talk.
Nurses laughing saying she’s on the ketamine high. I cried for a couple of days afraid to go to sleep. Called my friend he normally takes care of mehehad me read off the amounts of anesthesia and he verified I was overdosed.
I know this is an old post but I thought I would answer anyway.
But Yes I do have experience with this.
I went into a clinic in NYC for ketamine infusions in 2022 for Treatment Resistant Depression. Much to my surprise, after my second IV, the next day I woke with zero pain!! I had been suffering with what was first diagnosed as fibromyalgia in 1994, since 1991, before I had ever heard of it. Just in the last 10 years, I was also diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy. I have read that they’re two different things. Suffice to say that I’ve been in terrible pain since I was 31. It started after I gave birth to my second son.
Unfortunately, insurance stopped covering it in 2024 so more recently, I’ve been using the sublingual troches. They don’t work as well but it is better than before.
I wish it worked for my depression.
Good luck.

Neurologist or my orthopedic surgeon (had 4 left hip surgeries and actebulum fractures)
