@gba, I just want to let you know how sorry I am for the pain that you've been dealing with for 10 years. I don't have issues with neuropathy or numbness, but I hope you'll hear from some Mayo Connect members who can offer some suggestions for you. I hope you can get some relief soon. Meanwhile, what are your doctors saying or doing to help you?
Sad, medical mistakes every day. Wife had nerve bound in here left pelvis, we found Pain focused neuro surgeon, he performed a radio/burn to the nerve. 8 years later, still no pain. However, spine issues r tricky. Think Chris Reeves, follow the current treatments for spine injury. Hope ur search leads to help. Regards, Jerky.

What was the reason for your spinal tap? My son had a spinal tap as a toddler and it was scary to watch them do it. My understanding is the needle needs to get into the layer around the spinal cord to draw spinal fluid. There may have been damage to a nerve or your spinal cord when the needle was inserted.
Have you had MRIs with and without contrast of your full brain and spine to see if there are any lesions or inflammation/disc degeneration/compression?
Brain fluid leaking through ear.
Reccomend pain pills and rub ons.
