I had two Ketamine Injections a week apart and it was an interesting "high" for a couple of hours, but we all concurred that they did nothing to help my severe case of PN, I am trying something called Nerve Savior now so will be anxious to see if it does anything to help. My case is very severe now and so much pain in my feet and hands. I use Sombra on both that helps a little but I am totally allergic to opiates and most drugs so am pretty much stuck with this condition.
I have tried all kinds of things, but so far none have worked I also take acupuncture but it does not seem to we working any longer. I am an 80 year old Vietnam Veteran so way past the 70,00 mile warranty so not much hope for this old Veteran. I can never ever complain as I have enjoyed 38 years with the absolute love of my life and best friend who really spoils me and we have 7 really great old children and 5 grandchildren so I consider myself a very lucky man. I wish anyone out there all the best in their efforts to find some kind of temporary cure for all the pain and will let everyone know if this Nerve Savior works. Thank you all and Semper Fi.
Jusr found this today and wanted to clarify that the only eral thing that gives me a little less pain is Sombra. You can find it on Amazon and I use it morning and at night before I go to bed.
We all have to write the White House and let tme know big Pharma needs to go so we can hopfully and finally find more relief from Neuropathy!!!! Semper Fi.
I tried Ketamine injections (four rounds), and it did not help. I had to go to a University Hospital far away to get the treatment. It may help for some people, but not me. It made the pain go away for about a day, but then came right back.
As suggested by the Mayo Clinic to treat my erythromelalgia, I use a compound prepared by my pharmacy of Ketamine and Amitriptyline which applied 3 times daily does help my neuropathy.

I believe you are referring to Journavx. It is a brand new medication for acute to short term pain relief from surgery or injuries. Not really appropriate for our use for chronic pain.
It may be useful in the future. Now, it is not FDA approved for chronic pain, probably not approved by MediCare, and is probably expensive.

Neurologist or my orthopedic surgeon (had 4 left hip surgeries and actebulum fractures)
Compounded cream that includes ketamine and gabapentin was helpful for trigeminal neuralgia
Look up Journauk for pain. New on the market
