I agree with eating small meals and to chew food thoroughly. I also agree that a gastroenterologist is the best next step because there are numerous GI conditions that cause bloating. Unfortunately, for years doctors have been using the umbrella label of IBS to diagnose conditions like my bloating and constipation but I finally got an actual diagnosis in 2018 when I went to Mayo Clinic. It turns out that I have SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth), most likely methane dominant. There's another version of SIBO involving more loose BMs but also with bloating called hydrogen dominant and some people have a mix of both. I highly recommend you get tested for SIBO. It's a very complicated imbalance in the gut microbiome that has even become more understood now than it was 7 years ago when Mayo diagnosed mine.
