Post TKR chronic pain
I am 17 months post TKR and still have constant chronic pain. Have seen 4 orthopedic Dr. All say same thing then implant is good but won't diagnose the pain. My question is if anyone has experienced the same issues with doctors not willing to approach WHY the pain how did you find a doctor that would and I would like a name and the clinic please.

I also have had trouble with my knees after my surgeries . going on 2 years for the left one, 2 years or the right one. So for the past 4 years My quality of life has gone down. I also am told surgery is fine. Dr says X-rays look good. But I continue to have tightness above and below the knee feels like a band that just will not loosen. Stairs are absolutely horrible. Have had two other opinions. One said possibly loose and need a new spacer? But will only give opinion. Won't touch someone else's work. Any ideas where to go next.? Perhaps apply to mayo for opinion?
From my research when Dr's say the implant is good it probably is. For whatever reason orthopedic Drs will not look for other issues other than the implant. Most likely mine is caused by soft tissue or ligaments but how do I know until I find a Dr that will go the extra effort. Good luck with Mayo hopefully they will help you. My request was not accepted. I have found good information on You Tube videos of other causes for pain but still need a diagnosis.
Soft tissue or ligaments? I also have swelling from knees down to feet with tightness . On top of the band feeling around the knees. Very discouraging. Yours is the first post I've noticed. Soft tissue or ligaments? Unless I missed others. We'll take a look on YouTube and definitely look into Mayo.
Another thing I have found the more active I am without doing things that aggravate it(walks, standing in one position, walking on rough surfaces ect) the better my knee feels. Riding stationary bike and stretching really help.
