Well if you're anticipating getting scammed, it probably won't take long. I've recently noticed better quality scams in the email. Some are really good. I just assume everything is a scam and delete most of it without a second thought. My wife is worse than me. I asked mom what it would take to not believe the mail, phone calls and email solicitations and she said someone would have to disprove them to her approval. Never happen! She has been slowing down lately as tax info has been coming. I told her we'd help her and I think for the first time she may accept. She's getting worn down. Last week she had a crown fall off and the tooth needs removal. Seeing an oral surgeon Tuesday and the whole process is difficult. Takes a long time to get an appointment and a ton of paperwork. Fortunately she can afford it because it's very expensive. Good news is she only has one more tooth after that one. Over the last twenty years I'd guess she's paid $40,000 or more for dental work. Some of this because it's been redos.
