We are not able to help with diagnoses as we are not medical professionals for the most part. It certainly sounds like your painful issue warrants further exploration with your doctor. When you have a condition that is not responding to normal first aid procedures like moist heat, ice packs, over the counter pain medications like Tylenol and Motrin, then you should be pursuing medical help from your doctor or a walk-in clinic.
You might also look under the Connect Support Groups Bones. Joints, and Muscles and Spine by typing something like "neck pain swelling" into the search box for that group. You may find someone with similar experiences who has shared their advice. Have you had any diagnostics done like xrays or CT scan?
