Hi, I have lobular large tumor left breast, 95% estrogen/progesterone
I am doing double mastectomy I have large fibrosis breast my surgeon is very conservative but due to age and I am very active he feels going flat is best. Hopefully no radiation or chem just the hormone blockers

Hi @joriegrace, Being diagnosed is such a process. Having a plan in place can be a big relief. Did you agree with your surgeon's recommendation? Has your surgery been scheduled?
I'm happy with my single mastectomy, no reconstruction, November 2024.

@joriegrace I, too, am very active-runner, boot camp, peloton in garage….and I went flat. I was very small breasted anyway so going completely flat was not very difficult for me. I LOVE never putting on a sports bra. It has been fantastic. My surgeon did an awesome job at getting me completely flat. There are many Facebook pages about going flat. I would check those out—most are quite happy with their results, but some have had awful experiences. Also, notputtingonashirt.org is a great resource for finding questions to ask your surgeon.
