What is your best walking shoe recommendation for back pain?
Does anyone have a recommendation for a walking shoe with excellent arch support that helps to alleviate back pain? Most of the ones I’ve seen are in excess of $100 which is more than I want to spend.

I love my Hokas & Keen's. They have wide toe box & comfortable fit. Go to a shoe shop that measures both feet & knows their product.
I have tried several over the years and Hoka seems to work the best for me. They are a little expensive but worth it.
My Orthopedist, DO; and I, recommend the brand : Brooks Shoes... better supported arches, higher laces that support (strengthen?) the ankle that helps the. foot and lower leg 'operate?' better... AND they're very comfortable !
Take a look at Orthofeet online. I wore a pair walking all over Rome on the cobblestone uneven streets with spinal stenosis and post sciatica. They were great. This company let's you wear there shoe I beleive for 9o days to see if they work for you. Can be sent back a credited . Customer service is great. My shoes are Stroll. Just ordered Relay sneakers, Take a look at the site.
What is meant by post sciatica?
I no longer have sciatica. I had very good physical therapy which helped both to decompress my spine, helpful stretches and between my physical therapist and personal trainer, I have been able to develop good core strength and muscle bracing around my lower spine and back. Sciatica in my case was the result of spinal stenosis and facet joint arthritis.
