In May 2022, I had pencil beam proton therapy plus 24 months of lupron + abiraterone and prednisone for Gleason 9 T3a (EPE at the posterior base), and a PSMA showing no additional spread. The RO said that in my case, he would strongly advise against using the gel spacer, so it wasn't used. Twenty months post radiation, I have had no rectal issues. To date my PSA has remained < .03.

I am thankful for my incredible wife, my doctors, PAs, nurses, past therapies and those which may be needed in the future and for this message board and its many amazing contributors - you all are the best.
