I have been going through the same thing for over 7 years. I only recenyly sought medical expertise and the doctor also suggested that I was making it up, that its phycological. I struggle with, social anxiety, low self esteem and deprrssion because of it. I stayed at home for a year barely going anywhere. I had no choice but to go out to work now, I used to work from home but thats not an option anymore and yes its the same reactions even back in school. I did some research and came up on this term olfactory hallucinations body odor. All that I read added up to what the doctor suggested however it doesnt explain why when I'm around other people, they plug their noses or wipe their noses or smell their own armpits. Their actions suggest what the doctor claims isn't happening. I have tried every deodorant, antipersirant, medications even natural remedies nothing works I don't know what to do anymore.
