Your feedback when taking HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE with nothing else?

I have had PMR since April 2023 .So far I have been on prednisone and leflunomide. both of these medication‘s left me with many side effects and was not much help in the end!!! any information you can give me would be very much appreciated by me!!! Thank you so very much in advance!!!

I'm not sure what to think about this study except that I wouldn't have wanted to participate. The study fascinates me because I was diagnosed with a type of seronegative arthritis at least 20 years before PMR was diagnosed.

In a way, I was an unwilling participant because seronegative arthritis before being diagnosed with PMR confounded everything. First there was a delay in being treated with prednisone until PMR was diagnosed later on. Then the combination of seronegative arthritis with PMR made it extremely difficult to taper off Prednisone in a reasonable amount of time.

I should ask my rheumatologist why hydroxychloroquine wasn't ever tried because everything else was tried before Actemra worked.
