Cortisone shots are not good for meniscus tears as they wear away ur cartilage/the support substance that cushions your bones. My recommendation would be get a metal hinged knee brace for support. & Hyluran injection usually given 3x 1per week it’s like a gel injection to give you support. Less damage to your cartilage & lasts longer. ice packs-elevate ur legs on pillows,some dietary changes, & walking use a rollator if severe pain & or cane a must for support. Also Try “The Super Patch Co. “ I use Freedom patches -they have made some awesome improvements to my pain issues- & CBD/THC balms& Creams & Voltaren gel& Lidocaine Patches all very useful. Move don’t stop moving & please avoid surgery as it can cause damage and more pain. Unless you’re Orthopedic Surgeon says it’s time for knee replacement surgery. All surgeries come with their own issues. Do not do Menisectomy surgery as it makes your knee much worse. I know it’s not a fix but a total disaster. Like it was for me over 14yrs ago - the Orthopedic surgeon shaved my Cartilage from my knee on the inner part of knee making the pain worse than before the surgery.
