Yes she did. I visit the Dermatologist every 6 mos. It is my understanding that many GP's do not have the skill set to ID skin cancers, so it is advisable to have an annual appoint with the Dermatologist.

I go to Mayo Clinic. When I asked my PCP to look at a skin problem he immediately says will referr me to dermatology.

At Mayo Jacksonville if you do not have or had melanoma there normal seeing you is once a year. Of course will see you (which happens to me all the time) if you have a suspicious area.

Looks like you are getting good care.
