Pineapple and Tacrolimis?

Hi @rosemarya 😊
I was watching TV and had a craving for some canned fruit. I went into the pantry and saw a can of pineapple. After I ate it, I got a panic feeling and couldn't remember if pineapple was on the interaction list with Tacrolimis. When I googled, there was no clear answer. So I did what I always do when I panic, I jumped on Mayo Connect to see what my fellow transplant team members do about pineapple?
Thank you Rosemary!!

I am a double lung tx recipient that takes Tacrolimus and Bromelain (pineapple extract for gastro issues). I have cleared it through my transplant team. When I was in the hospital, I ate pineapple with no issues or concerns. I also eat pineapple and drink pineapple tea regularly. My team knows about it and have never said that I need to stop. I am not sure about the kidney tx part of it though, but for the med there is no issues.
