Any EV-Pembro (enfortumab vedotin and pembrolizumab) experiences?
Hi all, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in early November, and has progressed to Stage 3.
I will be starting an EV/Pembro infusion treatment cycle on Thursday. For anyone that has had the treatment regimen, were you able to go about your normal activities the day of the treatment, or how did it make you feel.
I've been down the chemo / radiation road before during my recovery from a bone marrow transplant for leukemia 39+ years ago, but I'm sure the nausea meds are a LOT better than back then (Doctors said they were, so I am taking their word for it)
Thanks all!! Look forward to seeing any responses!!

@drzemke, wow, BMT over 39 years ago. That's amazing. I guessing that this new diagnosis came out of nowhere.
I believe @journeynw may have experience with the combination of enfortumab vedotin and pembrolizumab for treatment of bladder cancer. I can't imagine anything being quite as challenging as what you experience with bone marrow transplant.
How is the EV-Pembro treatment going so far? What is the schedule of your regimen? How are the side effects?
So far, so good ... had 2nd chemo treatment on Thursday, Next rounds will begin in a couple of weeks.
Have been able to keep doing normal activities and work at this point.
Schedule has been both on day 1 of each cycle, then just the chemo (EV) on day 8, then a week off. Plan is four 3-week cycles.
@drzemke you have already been through so much with cancer, so sorry that you are dealing with it again. My husband was on just Pembrolizumab during his bladder cancer treatment. It was not successful at controlling his tumor so it was only several months of treatment and no chemo. His appetite was affected and food just didn't taste right. No nausea though. He also became hypothyroid as a result of this immunotherapy. Other than that, it was life as usual. I hope this combination is successful for you with minimal side effects.
