I'm pre-transplant and my hair started falling out about three months ago. The dermatologist who is very up to date on medical conditions said mine was due to pressure on the hepatic vein with ascites. She said to use Minoxidil 5% foam that I got from Amazon but it made me itch. The two other ingestible products were nixed by my hepatologist as they would make my liver condition worse. I had already been taking Natures Bounty Hair, Skin and Nails but switched to the new advanced formula of the same product for the last few months. I just waited to see what was going to happen and it has stopped falling out and is now attempting to grow back. What hair didn't fall out has grown 1/2 inch so I think I'm through it.
