I have a very severe post nasal drip and I had a deviated septum 6 month ago, and I’m still suffering from chronic post nasal drip. In fact, my mucus is like a thick glue; I feel like I’m going to die due to this horrible feeling as chocking with excessive phlegm, I had allergies injections for over 2 1/2 years and never improved my symptoms, now I’m in sublingual allergies drops for over 6 months and it doses nothing good for me. Now, I’m thinking to do a VivAer procedure, so anyone has done this procedure? Please, advice

@murmar-

Be cautious. I’m assuming your post meant you had deviated septum surgery 6 months ago.

Not sure why you had the surgery to begin with, but it would have been just for breathing issues and NOT post nasal drip. ENTs get post nasal drip wrong A LOT of the time.

You are most likely suffering from alterations to your nasal cavity that can cause overcompensation by other tissue and new dryness which can make mucous thicker.

Be very careful in buying into “new” procedures due to ENTs whom have some type of belief in new procedures to make money in clinic. Most of it is all temporary due to placebo belief and alterations.

Good luck to you.

Hello, I have had very thick yellow and sometimes clear post nasal drip. I also have done both sublingual and injection allergy treatments. No help with either. My 10 th ENT PUT ME ON 40 mg of omeprizole and that has greatly reduced this problem.
