I am a liver/kidney recipient. My gall bladder was removed at time of my transplant. I was prescribed omeprazole after my transplant to counteract heartburn which many patients have experienced.
I was advised to:
Avoid fatty, greasy, or spicy foods.
Eat lean meat, low-fat dairy, and leafy green vegetables.
Eat low-fat diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains.
Eat smaller, more frequent meals.

To this day. 16 years post transplant, I have a difficult time after eating spicy or fried foods - except occasional small portions.
Are you a liver transplant recipient? Does your transplant team think that a medication switch is what you need?

I’m heart transplant 03/19/2024.

We are hoping the medication switch will works. What I’ve learned over this year sometimes throw some mud see what sticks. What works for one patient might not work for the next patient.
