Hi.
I had the LPI since the doctor told me its super safe - she has done thousands of them. I’ve never had any complications at all. And if it was her eyes she would want it done right away. And that if i was her sister, she would do it on me.
And that I have really bad narrow angles and if I don’t treat it, I could have sudden and permanent blindness.
I didn’t understand why out of nowhere this issue came up, especially since I came to her to treat dry eye disease, And prior to seeing her, I’ve seen dozens of doctors to help me with the excruciating pain of ocular neuropathy, and dry eye disease. She told me that i must have bad headaches, i explain that i dont suffer from headaches thank god. I have one, one in a blue moon and it’s a non issue at best.
I naïvely decided to just do it. She did the LPI on both eyes in one shot and ever since then I’ve been having headaches at times it comes with a choking feeling in my throat and a tightness in my jaw.
I have not had one pain-free day since having had the LPI.
I went back and spoke to several of the other doctors i saw before her,
They all assured me that they never saw any narrow angles in my eyes, that they would have never dilated my eyes if i had narrow angels, that its checked every time prior to dilation.
They all told me the LPI was not necessary.

So now what? What do I do now? It’s especially bad when i sit down. It’s not like i can avoid sitting down. I need to drive, to use the restroom, to fly etc. it’s bad when i try to eat.
is anyone else experiencing this?

Omg. Almost everything you just said I could have written myself! Makes me wonder if you had same doctor. I also went just for dry eyes and was told exact same thing. I never even had high pressure.

Dr Jillian and Dr Louis Schott convinced me to do it as a preventative and said over and over that it caused no visual problems at all. That is a lie. My vision has been ruined.

Get an atty for unnecessary surgery asap. I wish you luck. I have been trying for almost 4 years to find out if this barbaric procedure can be reversed.

My eyes water all night long and I am scared to drive. I used to be very active. Not anymore. I need magnifying glasses to see now and both eyes have gotten premature cataracts from the damage.
