I've also had this issue with my hyoid bone popping (non-fluid motion) on and off for a year or two now. I also have some anxiety and although this issue will often lead doctors to suspect GERD I do not have typical gerd/heartburn symptoms (could still be a-typical). I also have back pain from a pinched disk in neck which may be causing tightness in the area. ENT scope all looks good both times but I have yet to do an endoscopy for it (not sure it would do any good). I would really love to see someone who got a definitive answer on theirs. It's very annoying when my throat will feel like its closing in and touching itself and it often feels like something is pushing on or stuck in my throat (only several times its gotten so bad it felt like it was effecting my breathing). I also get a throbbing pain that comes and goes quickly with seemingly no trigger. With these a-typical symptoms and more its very hard trying to figure out wether I have a nerve/muscle issue, the C word or something else minor.

@shaymeful
Have it gone away?
Because I’m passing through same thing for a month now
I need help

@shaymeful it may not relate at all but the styloid process, depending on length, thickness and trajectory can cause swallowing issues and feeling like something is pushing on or stuck in the throat. They can actually cause a lot of varying symptoms depending on the structures involved. Called Eagle Syndrome, typically addressed by an ENT.
