I have been dealing with Peripheral Neuropathy for over twenty-five years and the only medication I use to treat my condition is 100mg Gabapentin twice a day. In recent months I have been informed that this medication is toxic to a persons kidneys, I am currently a Stage 3B chronic kidney patient. My feet are always numb, have somewhat of a tingle in both feet, both feet feel like heavy cement blocks and hamper me in using the accelerator and brake pedals in my car. I am in the process of perhaps having to forgo driving in the near future. Knowing that soon I will be 75 years of age forgoing driving might not be such a bad idea.
I wish all that are dealing with this condition the very best going forward with their lives.

My feet feel just like yours.
Totally numb and feel like cement bricks.
I took Gabapentin 2400 mg several times a day and it did nothing for me.
As for driving, I had hand controls put in my car at my expense, because I couldn’t depend on people to drive me to all my appts that I go to.
I at least have my independence when it comes to going where I need to, and I don’t have to ask for rides there.
