You are most definitely not alone. I had Reclast in March 2024, followed by 5 days of being the sickest ever in my life, now living with chronic pain. I have had every rheumatologic test, x-rays, an EMG, a punch biopsy test, and ultrasounds - and they all came back normal. I now have a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, likely triggered by the infusion. I’ve had to stop working and have applied for disability. I’ve gone from being a very active person to barely leaving my apartment. A complete life change. I’m now exploring various pain management treatments, as there is no treatment for fibromyalgia per se. The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville FL has a two-day course on living with fibromyalgia that I found helpful.

I am so sorry to hear how horrible the side effects of this Reclast has been for you! Geez. . I thought mine was bad but it certainly packed a bigger punch of symptoms for you. Terrible that we are subjected to this kind of trauma from this drug that is supposed to help us be stronger and better. I’m still trying to figure out two things- does this drug actually work to maintain bone density and where is the proof, and secondly why isn’t the medical and drug industry being held accountable for these adverse events and injuries?? My endocrinologist certainly was not completely honest about the damage I would receive from Reclast and instead put fear in me thinking that my body would collapse without it . I now find out there are alternative treatments. Furthermore I never once received a call back from him after I contact him after the infusion. I will not be going back to him and no more Reclast for me.
I pray you get some help and can start living a normal life again soon. My heart goes out to you.
