Giving Nooro a try

Posted by madmouse43 @madmouse43, Apr 9, 2024

From my time here on the Mayo Clinic Connect and my own experience I realize that there is no magic bullet for painful feet from PN Wether it be drugs, machines, home remedies or anything else. All of our attempts for relief have received personal unique results.
What helps one does not necessarily help all others or even any others. It is with that in mind that I am going to give the Nooro Foot Massager which I got on a 90 day no questions asked return policy.
I will be using setting 1 at a strength of 13 to see what happens (it seemed like the most appropriate setting) for 15 minutes 1x per day.
If anyone had any hints, suggestions or comments I would live to hear from you.

I have developed severe neuropathy in my toes over the past year. It has become very painful, and at times I have gone to bed wearing neuropathy sneakers. My doctor first prescribed Gabapentin, and when that didn't work, he put me on Pregabalin. My condition seems to be getting worse. I am now considering purchasing the Nooro foot massager. Does anyone have any experience with this product? I find mixed reviews on the web about it. Can anyone make any suggestions as to what can relieve the numbness and pain? Thanks.

Get plenty of information before purchase. Ask for specifics about this product. Return costs more than purchase. Comes from Russia!!!

Nerve pain creams like those with capsaicin or lidocaine, compression socks, alpha Lipoic acid, Acetyl l carnitine and magnesium supplements, and Cymbalta/Duloxetine has helped me. It is important to get to the cause of neuropathy so you can stop the progression (like manage diabetes/sugar levels, eliminate alcohol, reduce/avoid toxins, ensure not deficient or at toxic levels for Vitamin B6 or B12, make sure not iron deficient, etc.).

The only thing that temporarily helps my feet is my husband massaging them. Neurotin sometime helps pain but not weekness. How long were you on it?

I use ice socks from Amazon when nothing else works. They have never failed me!

I have just started chemotherapy for breast cancer. I wear ice socks/mittens and Cold Cap for 20 minutes before chemotherapy starts, all during chemo and 90 minutes after chemotherapy. From what I have researched it is supposed to help with Neuropathy side effects. Time will tell. I have 3 sets of them to switch out during chemo in a cooler packed with ice.

After a few days of taking it, I became incoherent - couldn't compete a sentence, no memory. I stopped taking it in the hospital and recovered quickly. Kind of a bummer because it was helping with the pain. Lots of people take it with no problems

I was just working up to dosage, but I don't remember what I was taking. I didn't take it very long.
