Any advice on mylopathy
@melhen Spine surgery is always a difficult decision. I had cervical stenosis and had surgery to fuse C5/C6.

If I may ask, what have your specialists advised?
@lovethatcamry73 Hello and welcome to Connect. Myelopathy can exist in early stages before it shows up on an MRI. When it does show up on MRI, it may appear as a whitish mottled area within the spinal cord. That may indicate permanent damage where the long nerve axons have died from compression and symptoms of loss of function can come on suddenly. It's important to consult a spine specialist if this condition is possible, and the sooner the better. I had spinal cord compression from a ruptured C5/C6 disc with bone spurs. I had a fusion after the bad disc was removed freeing the spinal cord within the spinal canal.
