Has anyone with Chronic EBV or EBV flare ups tried any of these?

Posted by alu25 @alu25, 2 days ago

I have been struggling with EBV since I was 20. I have had some long lived flare ups but have had some good recovery years in between. I even got into ultra running. The latest flare up has lasted for 2.5 years after my latest trail marathon and 3rd child. I haven’t tried any antivirals yet but am reading about some promising exploratory options:
Sintilimab
Gangciclovir
Vidarabine
Acyclovir
Valycyclvir
Maribavir

Does anyone have any experiences with any of these? Thanks in advance!

I have taken 2 G of Valacyclovir, every day, for several years. It does not help deactivate it, but the symptoms are slightly less severe. High estrogen is the only thing that has deactivated EBV, for me. When it is active I get pancreatitis, which increases my estrogen. This must be nature's way.

This is immensely helpful, thank you for your response! May I ask what dose of estrogen is high dose for you?
