Solanine poisoning
I suffer from solanine poisoning derived from night shade fruits / vegetables. Since age of 14. With joint swellings and aches. Keen to learn about this and eventual remedies other than abstinence

I'm curious as well. Why are you eating nightshade berries when there are other sources of the same nutrients? And I would say nightshade, which contains iron, would be an unlikely cause of anemia.
If you are trying to follow a wild-food or forage form of eating, look and see if your diet is providing enough iron and other minerals to prevent anemia.

@callaloo yes, my daughter has to carry two epi pens with her at all times. And if she has to use even one, she has to be rushed to ER by ambulance and put on an IV drip in hospital to bring down her heart rate which goes up to ver 250bpm., then kept under observation for a few hours.
Did a doctor run tests to find out about your gene variant? I was just reading an article that hypothesized that people with EDS cannot process Vitamin B9. Do you have any traits of a connective tissue syndrome?
OMG! I lost my place! Too tired to find where the comment was regarding Vitamin B9. Oh well.
When my older brother told me years ago his joints hurt after eating potatoes and tomatoes I though he was nuts. Then it happened to me. The worst was after eating eggplant dip at a party. My knees hurt for week. Then when eating chili. Double whammy there of chili powder and tomatoes. Now I am a senior and still avoiding all. I tried French fries. Nope. However I can tolerate some potatoes if double cooked. Some kettle cooked potato chips are ok. I never did like peppers so they aren't a problem. Sweet potatoes are a good substitute for whites if you find them. They are in the morning glory family, not a problem. Watch out for goji berries. They are another form of wolfberries, solanine family. Blueberries - they are not in nightshade family, don't know why they bother some.
When I do stray and end up eating something I drink a cup of Yogi Detox tea, it seems to excrete the poison in an hour.
@sayremayo5 thankfully your daughter-in-law’s allergy is not airborne, eh! 😯
not use why I am receiving this. This wasn't my response.
not sure why I am receiving this. This wasn't a response from me.
@sayremayo5 you had said your daughter-in-law living in Florida is allergic to mangoes and has a mango tree at the end of her driveway … to which is what I responded. 🤷🏼♀️
