I determined in my case the post-nasal drip and bleeding was a temporary issue caused by the very dry winter air. Nasal gel helped heal the existing injury and humidifiers kept it at bay. I haven't been using either recently and the issue basically hasn't recurred.

It's good I visited a doctor during this, because she made aware the post-nasal SPRAY I had initially used was actually drying my nose out MORE (and that's why I suddenly started seeing a lot more blood). Spray is just for congestion. Gel, not spray, for dry nose.
