Olanzapine (Zyprexa) 5mg for nausea: Did it work for you?
Hello, I am new to this group. I have stage 4 neuroendocrine cancer . I was prescribed zyprexa 5 MG for nausea. I wondered if anyone could tell me how well it worked and you've developed any side effects from it.

Thank you for this information, I also have stage 4 pNET. My nausea is not controlled by a combination of Gravol and Zofran, so I’ll look into this. Thanks!
@arleighna and @kaiulani, I believe fellow members @mimimmx @clutch @vlny2018 have experience with olanzapine (Zyprexa) and can share more.
I did take Olanzapine for most of my time on Folfirinox in the latter half of 2023. It helped both sleep and nausea do I could eat. Improved my appetite. I did not gain weight while taking it, but stopped losing weight, which was a win. I don’t recall any adverse side effects.
Thank you for replying. Were you on it for a long time? My biggest concern is tardive dyskinesia.
I was on it for about 7 months and did not experience this side effect.
I have anaphylaxis shock.
Hello, @dehbisogni Having anaphylaxis shock can be quite frightening, to say the least. Did you have this reaction from taking Olanzapine (Zyprexa?
