My HDL is 110. Is this too high?

I have been on Rosuvastatin for years for high cholesterol. It was being managed well. Last year my lipid panel showed an HDL of 81. My primary care doctor never mentioned it as a concern and I thought that was an ok level because I read that HDL was the good cholesterol! This year the HDL was 86. With a little more knowledge, I asked my PCP about it again and she was not concerned. Coincidentally, I had a scheduled cardiology appointment a short time after that. I mentioned the high HDL was told that it was probably related to a medical condition, not a heart condition. I am more confused than ever. I have an appointment with my PCP in March and will discuss this once again.
Other than needing to exercise more, I lead a healthy life style. I follow the Mediterranean diet and probably use more olive oil than I should. Reading the posts here, I will reduce the amount I use and see what happens!
I will continue to watch this site for more infotainment.

I was told that HDL is the happy cholesterol or the good cholesterol which I have enough to outweigh the LDL which is the bad cholesterol and therefore I don't need any medication I don't know where you get the information that an HDL can be too high they like it high???I think
