Yes, when it's a bad flare my thighs will feel so heavy, burn and feel like I'm trying to wade through concrete. What I do is stop for a minute or two, taking deep breaths and stretching gently. Then keep on walking.

It takes a few times of stopping before I'm able to walk pain free, but soldering on works for me. Plus, it's for a good cause - walking my dog. I pretty much do it for her! But it helps.

Wow, you sound like me, except I don’t have a dog to walk. I have been able to pedal on a recumbant bike for 30 min at a time. My walking hasn’t improved, but I generally feel better because of it.
