Why Camzyos instead of surgery?

The myectomy will be performed at Rochester.
The dr and i talked about my lifestyle, 56 yr old active out doors person.
I feel the back and fourth to the mayo every month for the first few months then every qtr then twice a year for the rest of my life will be a burden, if I do myectomy no medication and no more visits for imaging.

I am so glad you will be going to Mayo, a COE! I was there 2.5 years ago at age 75 for the same surgery. Now, is it possible that you can find a HCM-HOCM cardiologist near you? Mine sent all test results ahead of time and the only time I was at Mayo was for preliminary tests and interviews and the surgery. I was home a week later back under my home cardiologist's care, never went back to Mayo for any follow ups. Another thing, please talk to your doctor about the possible different new adjustments that may be necessary post operation, I had two as well as blood pressure meds. Your active lifestyle will serve you well in recovery (mine did). Best wishes for a speedy and successful recovery.
