Oticon hearing aids app

Is anyone having issues with their Oticon hearing aids disconnecting from the app? Since I updated the app over the Christmas holidays, it disconnects for no reason.

Can I assume you're using the Companion app? If so, I'm at version 1.4.0, which the app shows is the latest. I have the Oticon Real's and the iPhone 14. Also, do you have the latest firmware in your aids? I saw my audiologist just to get them updated (from 1.0 to 1.1). Having said all of that, I still have connection issues. I had connection problems with my previous Resounds, but nothing like these Oticon's.

Yes, I am referring to the Companion app. I have the latest versions. I had just seen the audiologist before Octicon came out with the latest upgrade over Christmas. It continually disconnects. It is so frustrating.

I have the Real aids and companion app and I have the disconnect problem seeveral times a day. The hearing aids have been a big disappointment and quite expensive ($5k). I would like to try a different brand (Phonak, Widex or Resound) but am stuck with the Oticons because of the price.

I am very disappointed in my Oticon hearing aids also. Like you said, they were expensive not to be of better quality.

@bruceandruth1970 I should add that despite the connection issues, I think I'm understanding speech better with these Oticon Real's than I was with the Resound Linx 3D's. The connection issues have not impacted me enough to want to go back to Resound. I'm hoping the new Bluetooth standard will eliminate connection issues with hearing aids.

@bruceandruth1970 You can read about the Bluetooth standard here. https://www.bluetooth.com/specifications/
Most exciting will be the implementation of Auracast.
