Multiple Myeloma- I have smoldering Myeloma. Does anyone have this diagnosis?
Does anyone have an abnormal protein in their blood , which is a precursor to Multiple Myeloma. My Oncologist has said this could go on for years, or could or suddenly change

I see that this is an older thread of conversation, but it appeared in my list of updates today. I am glad it did! I have SMM, low risk, but my M spike has increased along with other key bloodwork. So, I am interested in the stories of those of you who are diagnosed with SMM and are still there, as well as, your stories of moving to MM and how you are doing now. Thanks, in advance, to all who respond. It means so much to all of the SMM folks!

Hello Connie, yes I’m also testing every3 month. Haven’t tracked numbers lately ……but also in “smoldering Myeloma” now. Am retired, but have had yearly blood tests for Mgus for over 30 years….#s went up so now every3 months (for about 1 & 1/2 years) no MM specific symptoms yet……So Connie if you want to share/compare info, I would like to keep in touch. I’m new to this site, not sure of it yet. Take care, Anne
