I will not take any PPI's anymore. I tried Omeprazole, Esomeprazole, and Protonix, and all of them caused extreme constipation.

I have suffered with reflux for years and PPIs were not working. Somebody told me to try Slippery Elm capsules and/or Aloe Vera pure leaf extract. Both have helped enormously. I take 1 slippery elm in a morning with food. Taken with PLENTY of water & 20ml of Aloe Vera before tea. Don’t expect immediate results but for me. I am now off PPIs and if needs be I take a Rennie.
If you do try this make sure you get the right Aloe Vera. I buy Aloe XL inner leaf by Cytoplan.
Please do your own research though or speak to your Dr to make sure this is ok for you.
