Has anyone experienced damage to xiphoid due to endoscopy

Two years ago I was in hospital g hour diverticulitis and an endoscopy was also done. After that day in Oct 2022 I was left with excruciating pain which after years has been diagnosed as xiphodynia. All I read is that it's rare....great...I had a pain specialist want to inject temporary relief but warned it was close to heart. Please help with thoughts/ideas
