New skull deformity causing pain

Posted by magic3ems @magic3ems, 4 days ago

I have been experiencing daily headaches, short term memory loss, occasional loss of coordination and blurred vision. I have a new idention in the top center of my skull approximately quarter size. Just slightly touched, leaves, pain and aching sensation for several minutes.

I noticed this a few weeks ago, but symptoms have been lasting approximately 3 to 4 months. Recently, I have developed intense pressure behind my eyes, causing excessive, blinking And intense pressure in my forehead. I have put off going to the doctor, but something is different. I feel that it will not be taken seriously. Has anyone experienced anything like this or have any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it.

magic, I don't have experience. The declivity might not be meaningful, but you have to see a physician to request an MRI, especially with your symptoms. Tumors can present in this fashion. If one doctor is dismissive you should see another.

I would immediately get a referral or refer yourself to a neurologist/neuro-surgeon for evaluation and treatment. Those symptoms sound very ominous to me. Please follow-up ASAP!

Hello. I am going to discuss an MRI with my Oncologist. Was incidentally diagnosed with MGUS approximately 1 year ago. I’m hoping he will agree. If not, I will go to my PCP. Or keep trying until someone will order it. Thank you for your reply.

I would suggest that you go to an ER, IMMEDIATELY, to be evaluated, by an ER Physician, for referral!!Time is of the essence! With the symptoms you have mentioned, waiting a month or two, or three, and seeing an indention that is sore, on your skull-that is PRIORITY 1, for you!! Please don’t wait, and let us know what action Docs are going to take, to help you!! We care about your well-being!!
