Could these symptoms be related to SFN?
Hello,
It’s been a brutal year with no real light at the end of the tunnel. I’m hoping someone can help me understand my symptoms.
I’ve had significant pain that usually presents itself as a burning sensation that is mostly in my ankles, lower legs and chest. It does move to other areas (even my face). I will also get cold sensations in the same areas, tingling and deep muscle pain.
I am having additional symptoms that at times are far more debilitating. I get a light headed, almost dropping feeling and a feeling of pressure between my eyes. I also at times feel like I have hot water in my ears and a very uncomfortable muffled, flutter like I’m waking under water. I now have wicked tinnitus in my right ear.
I am waiting on a punch biopsy to see if it’s SFN. All bloodwork was clean. Has anyone else had similar symptoms along with neuropathy? If so, what was your diagnosis?
Thank you so much for your help.

I agree with getting a rheumatology consult and with checking vitamin levels. My new neurologist did a Vitamin B6 test which came back as toxically high! (Which was a surprising result considering I was only taking 10mg of B6 in my daily Emergen-C packet. But I'd done that for at least a decade.) Sure enough, B6 can cause many of my neurological symptoms. Can't for the life of me figure out why the five or six neurologists I saw before this one didn't think of that!
Many rheumatological and auto/inflammatory immune diseases can cause SFN and other neuro issues. I'm trying now to get a consult to rule out rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and a few other things. I have biopsy-diagnosed sarcoidosis which sometimes goes hand-in-hand with rheumatological processes.
