I had a radical hysterectomy on September 24th of last year. They got it all, which included a couple of lymph nodes. They checked 4 nodes, 2 had cells and the other two did not. I opted for bloodwork to check for circulating tumor cells and CT scans as a follow up along with a huge change in my diet to combat the root cause of the cancer. My first blood test came back with 0.00 Circulating tumor cells in my system, so I was thrilled with that. I just had my 3 month recheck with my oncologist yesterday and after the exam she said “Congratulations you are cancer free!” Music to my ears even though I had seen the results and knew it, it was good to hear it from her. 😊 They did more bloodwork yesterday which I won’t get the result of for about 3 weeks. Then I’ll have another CT in 6 months. I think after a year they move out the intervals of testing. I am grateful that she is following me with testing so we can know where I stand. I pray soon you will be looking in the rear view mirror and talking about your experience as a thing in the past too. It is scary I know, but know you have sisters on this site that will pray for you and listen with a clear understanding of what you are going through. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
