Very helpful. Thank you John. I may go the lazy way and try first the one at the grocery store which seems pretty straightforward with no preservatives.
My question though is if ginger boosts immune function and I’m on prednisone which is immunosuppressant am I being counter productive? I also see that it’s anti inflammatory. A bit confused. I’ve tapered to 10 mg but still in pain and stiffness so thought maybe ginger could help? Sorry, I’m all over the place.
I’ve asked my rheumatologist about other issues like does weather affect my PMR, she doesn’t seem to have knowledge on that but I will ask her. Thanks again.

Whether or not immunity boosting helps or hinders while treating for PMR immunity dysfunction was a question of mine last year too, after a flare. After reading on several lupis (another autoimmune condition) websites that garlic should be avoided because it stimulates immunity, I stopped taking the two cloves of fresh garlic I was eating in salad every day. We're trying to slow our over-active immune system while treating PMR. I now avoid anything that says it stimulates the immune system. Those things can wait till PMR is sorted and we're off the prednisone, which we take to slow our immune response.
