Tiny White Plugs on Face
Has anyone ever had tiny white plugs on their face that you can pull out? I pull them out, they bleed and then it’s like they multiply and there’s more the next day. I’ve tried the following:
Doxycycline
Tretinoin cream
Metronidazole cream
Mupirocin cream
Panoxyl wash
Sodium sulfacetamide cleanser
Sarna lotion
Vicks
Sulphur soap
Antibacterial soap
Johnson's sensitive lotion
Cetaphil moisturizing cream
Keflex for staph
I’ve been to three dermatologists and all they want to do is give you some cream and an antibiotic. They tell me it’s pickers acne. I have even carried a bag of plugs that I pulled out and asked them to biopsy them or look at them through a microscope but they just say it’s milia, sebaceous filaments, blah, blah. Nothing has helped! Right now I’m using the metronidazole cream and diluted tea tree oil which has helped some. Someone said they were healthy tissue and not to pull them out but I can see them under my skin. I’m just wanting to know what these are and how to treat them. I really don’t know where to go next or what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have had small white bumps on my chin for a couple years. When I see my dermatologist twice a year she never comments on them.
Hello @tupelomom, I would like to add my welcome along with @eileen11108 and others. While you wait for others who may have similar experience, I thought you might find it helpful to read the following articles:

It sounds like your doctors aren't very helpful with your concerns. Have you thought about seeking help at a teaching hospital or major health facility like Mayo Clinic?
I had something like that years ago. I stop all the creams as I felt they were plugging my pours and I am doing.
Warm water on a wash cloth 2 x a day. I only use Vanicream lite. It took a few weeks but it worked for me.

I have no idea if this is actually what is causing your problem. You need to see a dermatologist specifically for the problem. My understanding is that is these mites are on everyone. So this article may may be helpful.
